New Works From Driffield Art Club at Beverley Art Gallery

Members of Driffield Art Club have submitted two pieces of recently produced artwork for a new exhibition, called For Art’s Sake, at Beverley Art Gallery, which opens on Saturday, 2 April.

Founded in 1965, the club is well established in the community, with over 100 members.  The club meets monthly at Westgarth Community Centre, Mill Street, Driffield.

There will be an open afternoon for the exhibition on Saturday, 2 April, from 1-3pm.

Members of the club will be in the gallery each Wednesday and Thursday, from 1-3pm, to meet visitors and talk about their work.  At some sessions members will be sketching and painting in the gallery.

Access to the gallery is through the Treasure House, on Champney Road, which also has a coffee lounge, shop, good disabled access and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The Treasure House is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9.30am-5pm. Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am-8pm, and Saturday, 9am-4pm.
