Footballers from Beverley have put together a side called 8 Star and are banking on local Facebook users to get them to the Emirates Stadium.
Adam Foster, Rob Lever, Paul Silvester, Neil Silvester, Danny Piwinski, Mathew Dexter and Scott Moody make a squad that must first earn enough ‘Likes’ on Facebook Page to qualify to play at the home of Arsenal Football Club.
Adam Foster who plays for Hodgsons FC said;
“If we want to play then we must finish in the top sixteen for ‘Likes’ and are struggling.”
“It only takes a second so we are appealing to people in Beverley to lend us their support.”
“So if any kind people out there would not mind helping us in our pursuit to play at the Emirates we would greatly appreciate it.”
