Following their welcome victory over fellow relegation rivals Billingham last Saturday, Beverley RUFC travel across the Pennines to take on the league champions Stockport in the National League 3 (North) fixture. They do so in good heart with their confidence somewhat restored, although they recognise that Saturday’s encounter will be tough.
Realistically Beverley need to collect at least 8 points from their remaining 5 fixtures and this should be possible if they play as they did in large chunks of last weeks match.
Selection will not be made until training on Thursday to allow as much time as possible for injuries to be assessed.
Last time the sides met Stockport won 20-27 despite a brave fight back from Beverley.
