Adam Foster scored twice as Hodgsons FC beat North Cave at Longcroft School in the Humber Premier League Division 1.
Foster opened the scoring inside five minutes with an instinctive finish from close range. Cave however showed why they are the Tanners closest rivals at the top of the table as they battled hard to get back into the match.
A second goal from Foster sealed victory for the Tanners, manager Lee Hastings is said to be ‘delighted’ with the win.
Man of the moment Adam Foster told HU17.net;
“The full squad was awesome, we deserved it today and everyone played out their skins.”
“Our manager deserves a lot of the credit, though vertically challenged he’s not bad at getting 11 lads to kick a ball in a goal.”
Hodgsons FC could now win the title without kicking a ball, if North Cave slip up the Tanners will take to the field in their final fixture later this month as champions.
Final Score: Hodgsons FC 2 North Cave 0
