Tanners Title Blow as Ferry Win at Leisure Centre

Hodgsons FC Reserves were beaten by league leaders and title rivals Wawne Ferry at the Beverley Leisure Centre in the East Riding County League.

The match which was heated at times was very much an end to end encounter with both sides creating chances.

Hodgsons FC took the lead though Wawne Ferry were given a break when they were awarded a penalty for handball.

The spot kick was converted leveling the match setting up a pulsating end to a game that both sides clearly wanted to win.

With time running out a long ball up field caused mayhem in the Hodgsons defence. The Tanners defender, under pressure looked on in horror as his headed clearance looped over a helpless keeper to give the visitors the win.
