East Riding College: Summer Courses in New Prospectus

East Riding College’s new part-time course guide, featuring courses starting after Easter, is now available.

Courses featured include those related to career advancement, such as management and supervision qualifications, and many which are specific to job areas, such as hairdressing and beauty therapy, construction, engineering and catering.

There is a section on the College’s Discover adult education courses, which are aimed at people who would like to take shorter courses as a hobby or to get a taste of a particular subject before considering further study.

The guide also contains courses for employers with training needs in subjects such as food safety, first aid and health and safety. Courses range from half-day short courses to two-year programmes and from entry level to degree level.

Principal Derek Branton said: “Our summer 2011 part-time course guide is full of ideas for learning new skills and taking up new interests.

“If you’d like to take a course but don’t know which to choose or you need advice on career development or fee payment support, call the College and ask to speak to our friendly and helpful guidance officers.”

The part-time course guide has been delivered to more than 60,000 homes in the East Riding and Hull. Anyone who did not get a copy can get one from East Riding College sites in Gallows Lane, Beverley, and St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington, where the full-time and higher education course guides for programmes starting in September are also available.
