East Yorkshire Opticians Wins Best Fashion Practice in the UK!

Eyesite Opticians is officially the best Fashion Practice in the UK after winning a top national award at the 2011 Optician Awards.

Known for being the home of designer eyewear in East Yorkshire for over twenty five years, Eyesite has always been at the cutting edge of quality and style.

After sifting through 200 nominations, 30 judges picked out the very best UK Optics has to offer, with Eyesite beating three stores in Central London in the final for the ultimate crown, Best Fashion Frames Practice in the UK.

Carol Parkinson, owner of Eyesite Opticians, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious award.  We were the only practice to have been shortlisted outside of London, so to have won is an absolute honour. We would like to thank our loyal customers throughout East Yorkshire for their continued support.”

The judges said Eyesite was clearly very fashion-orientated with a stylish, online presence to match. The open sales style of its staff was also applauded because it showed a real focus on the customer experience.  On top of that, customers feel like they’re in a major fashion store when they walk into Eyesite.

Carol Parkinson continued:

“Fashion is constantly changing, so we look and act like a major fashion store because our customers expect Premium luxury goods.  To compete with the bland chain stores we treat people as individuals and connect with them.  We will edit down our vast range of frames to find the right choice for them.

Our staff are trained to ask open questions, get people talking, sit and have coffee and discuss how we can help them make a choice they will be delighted with – and suggest how the eyewear will fit with the rest of their wardrobe.”

Eyesite say they make sure they have the brands their customers want – and so stock fabulous high fashion frames and sunglasses from the world’s premier design houses such as Chanel, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs, jewellery eyewear from Tiffany, Fred, Bvlgari, Tag Hueur and Swarovski as well as edgy high fashion brands like Oliver Peoples, Persol and D Squared.

Winners were announced at a Strictly Come Dancing-style black tie awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Eyesite can be found at 13a, Market Place, Beverley (just behind Lloyds TSB bank or there is a side entrance on Ladygate), 96, King Street, Cottingham or 19, St Augustine’s Gate, Hedon. Selections of their sunglasses are on sale in the sunglasses department within Browns Department store in Beverley and they are also about to open in Browns of York.
