Lucas Meagor of Beverley Athletic Club completed the first of his series of four marathons in four weeks last weekend in Paris.
Running in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Meagor completed the 26.1 mile course in 3 hours 53 minutes and 9 seconds.
With the temperature around 25 Celsius conditions were amongst the hottest he had experienced in a race and he was grateful for the shade around the course.
He was hoping to get closer to breaking the 3½ hour barrier and at the half-way point he was on target. Unfortunately the heat and a knee problem slowed him down in the second half of the race.
Undaunted, he has another 3 opportunities to beat his target starting with this Sunday’s London Marathon.
