Local Elections: Kerri Harold, Minster Woodmansey

Hi, my name is Kerri Harold, I have been married to Roy for nearly 18 years and have 3 lovely daughters Beth, Georgia and Brittany.

I am Beverley born and bred and attended Woodmansey Primary School, ( where I am now proud to be a Governor) and then onto Beverley High School. I had a year at Hull College on their hairdressing course, but changed career course after being told they could run the course better without me!

That then paved the way for me to work for my mum’s market research company, which I loved as it was always interesting and I got to ‘chat’ to people and get paid for it!

In 2000 my husband and I bought Beverley Westholme cars a local taxi firm, which we ran together until 2008.

Having had the privilege of representing the Minster and Woodmansey ward since 2007, I once again ask the residents of Minster and Woodmansey to put their trust in me and give me the chance to represent them for the next 4 years.

It has been a steep learning curve for me, going from a house wife to a councillor, but a challenge that I have thoroughly enjoyed and worked hard to achieve.

I have always tried to represent the residents to the best of my ability and have adopted a ‘common sense’ approach to local issues.

If re-elected my promise is to do my best and work for a better deal for us in Minster and Woodmansey and the wider East Riding area.

I believe that as a local girl, I have a vested interest in Beverley’s future. I grew up here and enjoyed all that Beverley had to offer and I now want to improve the situation for the younger generation now, who really do miss out at the moment, in my opinion. I am not saying they have nothing to do, but really feel more could and should be provided.

I have gained a lot from the last 4 years and feel I can use that knowledge to improve things for us all in the next 4 years.

So, once again, I ask for your support on 5th May. Vote for me and I will make sure YOUR voice is heard!
