Molescroft Rangers kept their promotion hopes alive with a narrow 2 – 1 win against Aldborough United at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
Rangers took the lead through Sam Dixon in the first half though United squared things up soon after the restart.
Molescroft Rangers however got themselves back in front thanks to the Showman Darren Spruce who scored what proved to be the winner.
Results else where in the East Riding County League saw Hodgsons FC Reserves remain top after being awarded their game be default.
The other side in the mix, Wawyne Ferry Reserves were well beaten by Howden Reserves.
Manager James Healey was delighted after the game as he declared that ‘The Race is For the Championship is Back On.’
Rangers return to action this week as they look to win their first trophy under the James Healey playing in the Junior Country Cup final on Tuesday.
