Visitors from Beverley’s twin town Lemgo were treated to a cruise down Beverley Beck and beyond on the Beverley Barge Preservation Society’s Syntan Barge.
On a day that brought out the best in Beverley for the distinguished visitors from the German town of Lemgo, Mayor of Beverley Bessie Foot greeted them at the Beckside home of the Syntan.
Leading the Lemgo visitors was the Bürgermeister of Lemgo himself Dr. Reiner Austermann, along with other visitors of all ages.
The younger members of the party were treated to a tour of the historical barge, before being taken on a guided tour by local historian Bernadette Moody around the Beverley Town Trail.
