The Royal British Legion, on the 15th May 2011 will have been in existence for 90 years.
The East Riding of Yorkshire County will be celebrating this occasion, on that day, with a parade through Beverley Town, followed by a service of thanksgiving and rededication at Beverley Minster.
The Parade will set off at 1.30pm from the North Bar Within. It will be led by the band of the 150 Regt; Royal Logistic Corps (V) followed by Serving Soldiers from the Defence School of Transport, Leconfield, Territorial Soldiers from 150 Transport Regt, RLC, Cadets, trainees from Quality Personnel Development Hull, together with British Legion and other Veteran Association standards and members taking part.
The Parade will progress to Saturday Market, where the Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Hon. Mrs Susan Cunliffe–Lister and Col. Paul Ash, Commandant of DST Leconfield, will be taking the salute at the Market Cross.
It will then proceed down through Wednesday Market and Eastgate to Minster Yard North. The Church Service will start at 2pm. All are welcome to attend the Minster Service.
There will also be a celebratory Concert in Hull City Hall on Friday 15th July. Tickets available from City Hall Box Office.
