As part of Beverley Leisure Complex’s ongoing commitment to improving customer service, major refurbishment work is due to commence within the Tone Zone Fitness Suite.
The refurbishment will see the current equipment replaced with the latest Matrix treadmills, cross trainers, cycles and weight training equipment, including new free weights and benches.
The new state-of-the-art equipment will feature integrated televisions, which have their own freeview box to give a wide choice in channels, are iPod compatible and also have their own personal fans.
In addition to the replacement of all the equipment, the Tone Zone will be redecorated, re-carpeted and have new ceiling tiles fitted, as well as work to improve the lighting and ventilation systems.
All this work will be completed within a very short period of time, but to allow this work to take place, the Tone Zone will be closed from Thursday, 26 May and will re-open on Saturday, 11 June.
An increased exercise class programme will be in place during the Tone Zone refurbishment, including extra spinning classes using the Leisure Complex’s new Keiser spin bikes.
Darren Stevens, head of culture and information at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The refurbishment of the Tone Zone at Beverley Leisure Complex will allow us to further improve our service to customers.
“The staff at the complex are really excited about the new generation of equipment bring installed.”
Alternative Tone Zone facilities are available at Driffield Leisure Centre, Francis Scaife Sports Centre, in Pocklington, Haltemprice Leisure Centre, in Anlaby, and Hornsea Leisure Centre.
