Beverley Rugby Club junior sections held their end-of-season Family Fun Day at Beaver Park on Sunday.
It proved an emotional day for Jo Franklin, who, along with husband Andy, has had to cut back her commitments at the club next season due to work commitments away from rugby.
She has been an active member of the club for more than eight years, and was taken aback when she was presented with flowers by club members who have been appreciative of her efforts over the years.
She said: “Andy and I are both extremely proud of all the players, they are a lovely bunch and a real credit to Beverley RUFC.
“There are still lots of very good coaches at Beverley and parents who are willing and prepared to take over our duties.”
