Longcroft School and Performing Arts College held its annual celebration of dance on 11th and 12th May 2011.
Showcasing the various dance groups throughout the school, the production was a fantastic opportunity for parents, family and friends to see the hard work students have put in over the past year.
Ranging from pieces choreographed by A-level students for their examinations, through to dance clubs for younger students, the performances highlighted a wide range of dance styles, combined with creative lighting and exciting music.
Mr Jonathan Chapman, Longcroft Leader of Performing Arts, said: “All the students, both on and off stage, have thrown everything into making the Evening of Dance another success. Our Performing Arts Staff, in particular Miss West and Miss Cheshire, have worked very hard to ensure the production came together and we are proud of the excellent work carried out by all our students.”
Alongside an enthusiastic audience, the event was also enjoyed by the recently retired Mayor of Beverley, Mrs Bessie Foot, and the outgoing Vice-Chair of ERYC, Cllr Kay West.
