One of Beverley’s most traditional and loved shops is offering a prize of a Yorkshire Hamper to customers who subscribe to its new newsletter and follow its burgeoning website.
G and A Jack and their Wednesday Market deli are as much a part of the fabric of Beverley as the Minster and Beverley Beck. The family business dates back more than 125 years, while last summer they celebrated the 50th anniversary of their Wednesday Market shop.
Now, thanks to the cajouling of owner Duncan Jack’s daughter Laura, there is a new website – www.grocerjack.co.uk – and a chance for subscribers to the website’s newsletter to win a hamper full of local products, worth £50.
Duncan told HU17.net: “My daughter said it’s about time we came into the 21st century.
“We do not envisage ourselves being an online business, but we want to let customers know what our specials are, keep them up to date with prizes that can be won and give them a new way of ordering their food by email.”
The Yorkshire Hamper is the first of what Duncan hopes will be regular prizes that loyal customers can win. He plans other competitions for buffet lunches and picnics as the online aspect of the business grows.”
Duncan continued: “We hope this will help keep people up to date with what we are doing – we know we have to move with the times and this is one of the ways we are doing it.”
For your chance to win the Yorkshire Hamper, simply email news@grocerjack.co.uk before May 31.
