Beverley Town Cricket Club’s Under 15s were beaten by Cottingham despite a four-wicket haul from spin bowler Jamie Roe.
Cottingham batted first and were bowled out for a creditable 108 from their twenty overs.
Beverley managed to score 80 runs in reply, losing the game by 28 runs.
The Under 15s return to action in two weeks time at the Norwood Recreation Ground as they host Fenner.
