Appeal Following Equestrian Centre Burglaries

Police are appealing for information following burglaries at two equestrian premises in the East Riding.

Properties in Anlaby and Beverley have been targeted between 23 May and 30 May 2011.

A number of items were stolen from the premises including:
–  Five petrol chain saws consisting of Husvarna and Stihl saws
–  Two hedge cutters (1x Kawasaki and 1x Echo),
–  Two Stihl leaf blowers
–   One Stihl strimmer
–   One racing green coloured petrol  quad bike
–   Various  quantities of horse tack including a pony and trap bridle.

Police are warning owners of stable yards and farms to be extra vigilant, and to  increase their security wherever possible.

Free of charge property marking is available from the local neighbourhood policing teams and owners of valuable equipment are encouraged to contact their local police station to arrange this.
