This Sunday 3rd July, members of Cherry Burton Cricket Club will be padding up and doing a sponsored bike ride to raise money for permanent cricket nets at Cherry Burton Playing Field and to raise funds for the Cherry Burton Youth Project.
All riders will be wearing their cricket whites and their batting equipment, with fines for all missing equipment added to the sponsor money.
The riders will be starting at The Bay Horse at 12 midday and will cycle to Market Weighton calling at the Light Dragoon in Etton, The Pipe & Glass, South Dalton, The Goodmanham Arms and the Half Moon in Market Weighton before returning to Cherry Burton along the old railway line, all in all cycling around 30 miles.
