96.9 Viking FM have this week announced a star studded line up who will take to the stage at this year’s Brid Bash.
The first artists to be announced are Chipmunk, Dionne Bromfield, Parade, The Reason 4, Six D and Loick Essien, who will all be performing at the summer gig, held at the seaside venue of The Spa Bridlington on 11th August, with more still to be announced.
In celebration of Brid Bash 2011, sponsored by QualitySolicitors Lockings, Viking FM are broadcasting live from The Spa Bridlington this Friday from 6am – 7pm. Viking FM are joined by The Reason 4, most recognised from their performances on last year’s X Factor, the band will also be performing at this year’s Brid Bash.
The band were snapped up by one of the world’s biggest music publishers, Sony ATV, after their performance on the X Factor and the four ex-builders are sure to be a hit on the Spa’s stage.
The Reason 4 are made up of 4 ex-builders – Nathan, Scott, Glenn and Marc; who aren’t just your average group. You’ll most probably recognise them from the 2010 series of The X Factor, when in their first audition, they astounded the judge’s with their rendition of Cheryl Cole’s “Fight For This Love”, after which X Factor guru Simon Cowell labelled them as “one of [his] favourite groups this year”.
This is helped realise a 10 year ambition for the Southampton group who were immediately snapped up by one of the world’s biggest music publishers, Sony ATV. The Reason 4 captured the country’s imagination. Not only do they have a legitimate harmony, but also their experiences and the fact that they are men not boys, make them authentic. First single, ‘Take it All’ is a euphoric slice of grown up pop. You can also see the boys performing on ITV’s Daybreak with Lorraine Kelly on 5 August.
