East Riding councillor David Elvidge put himself in the firing line at St Nicholas Primary School Fete.
David was put in the stocks as visitors paid for the privilige of pelting him with wet sponges to raise money for the school.
As well as the pleasure of watching David get soaked, there were plenty of other attractions on a lovely day for the event.
There was chocoalte tombola, hook-a-duck, face-painting and craft stalls, and balloons were released.
