Proud veterans paid their respects to fallen and former comrades at Beverley Armed Forces Day today.
In the heat of a beautiful Sunday morning, they stood side by side in Saturday Market to remember all those who had fallen in wars and conflicts over the years.
Thousands of people listened to a perfect rendition of the Last Post, and found their voices when the band played Jerusalem and The Lord’s Prayer.
One of the high points of the day was the fly-by by the Tiger Moth, much to the delight of the gathered crowd.
Attending the event were many members of the British Legion, as well as local MP Graham Stuart and Beverley Town Mayor Pete Astell.
As usual, the organisation of chairman David Elvidge and his volunteers made the day go smoothly and the armed forces charity SSAFA were sure to benefit from the day.
