Learn More About The Import And Export Business

Importers and exporters from Beverley and East Yorkshire can get advice from the best in the business at the Exporting Made Easier event, organised by World Trade Centre Hull And Humber.

Beverley RUFC’s Ian Archibald is operations manager for World Trade Centre Hull And Humber, and it will feature Gareth Maskell, export manager at Beverley-based Bartoline, is the guest speaker.

It takes place at the company’s Hull headquarters, and feature three separate seminars to provide help, ideas and advice for anyone involved in the import and export business.

It takes place on Tuesday 5 July, starting at 8am and is free to attend, as long as bookings are made in advance.

The progamme for the day is as follows:

Exporting Made Easier – 8am-10.30am

Exporting Made Easier is the ultimate exporting event for the Hull and Humber region, showcasing the support services available that can help exporters save money, time and ensure they are following best practice in international trade.

Experts from all areas of international trade will give five minute overviews on how they can help exporters overcome some of the issues faced in international trade and enable them to become more competitive in international markets.

Following the Exporting Made Easier event there will be an opportunity to hear from both HMRC and UK Trade & Investment.

HMRC Basic Import/Export Seminar 10.30am-1.30pm.

Join HMRC at their Basic Import/Export Seminar.

A chance to understand basic import/export terminology, an outline of customs procedures and possible ways of reducing costs.

UK Trade & Investment Seminar 10.45am-11.30am

UK Trade & Investment will be presenting a short seminar on overseas joint ventures, partnerships, licensing and different models of internationalisation.

There will be the chance to meet and listen to local specialists from: UK Trade & Investment; HMRC; Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce; HSBC; Neill & Brown Global Logistics;
