Hull FC stormed into sixth place in Super League with a crushing 52-16 victory over Salford at the KC Stadium.
A vocal home crowd for the club’s Pink Night – the players sported special black and pink kits in aid of The Yorkshire Scan Appeal – enjoyed a sparkling performance as Hull continue to find their best form at the right stage of the season.
Danny Tickle helped himself to a superb personal haul of 24 points and Tom Briscoe a hat-trick. The win now makes it four out of five for Hull FC, giving them plenty of momentum in the run-in to the play-offs.
Tickle opened the scoring against the Reds, and tries from the classy Briscoe and Jordan Turner saw Hull open up a 16-0 lead, before Tickle scored his second of the game.
Briscoe made it a brace himself shortly before the break and Tickle converted four of the five tries for an impressive first-half haul of 16 points as Hull went into the interval well ahead at 28-0.
Great Britain star Briscoe completed his hat-trick in the second period, and further tries from Turner, Joe Westerman and Danny Washbrook made it an easy win despite three second-half tries for Salford.
It sets Hull up nicely ahead of two tough games against Leeds Rhinos – away on Sky next Friday, at home the following week to the Rhinos in the Challenge Cup – followed by the much-anticipated visit of Wigan.
