Lord Nelson went down 6-1 to promoted side Hodgsons in a prearranged friendly.
This proved a good workout for both teams as they prepare for the coming season ahead.
Jordan Dexter grabbed himself a brace while skipper Paul Silvester scored on his return to action with Ben Thomson, Ben Daniels and Craig Muirhead also getting on the score sheet.
Though nothing can be read into friendly matches, the Tanners look to have started where they finished off last season and look strong in most areas of the pitch.
As for Lord Nelson the 90 mims of football will have done them no harm as they look to get match fit ready for the new campaign.
