De Lacy Salon Wins Council Acolade

De Lacy Spa in Saturday Market Beverley has been presented with East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Gold Standard Health and Safety Award.

The Beauty salon has over the last 3 years gained the Council’ s and Habia (the Hair & Beauty Industry Authority) standard Award which publicly recognises those salons able to demonstrate good standards of health and safety and best practice. The Award will not be renewed should standards fall.

Council Officers following additional spot checks recommended that the salon be given it’s Gold Award.

Commenting Chris Dunnachie from Public Protection at the Council added;

“ My Inspector’s have been impressed with the commitment and enthusiasm from staff and owners of the beauty spa to ensure they provide continual improvement to safe practices at the salon to the benefit of customers and employees.”

The salon now hopes to gain extra recognition as it has been put forward for the national Habia health and safety awards which will take place in London in October.
