Henderson: Colts Are An Evolving Force

Humber Colts boss Tony Henderson believes his side are ready for their assault on Division Two of the Hull Men’s Sunday League.

Henderson watched his side hammer FC Rossendale 7-0 in their pre-season friendly. New signing Rob Northern bagged a double, as did Carl Walker, while Danny Atkinson, Mike Claxton and Ben Thompson also got on the scoresheet.

And Henderson declared himself satisfied with the way his team are shaping up.

He said: “The Colts are evolving, and we showed that with this performance.”

Henderson confirmed that the club are still looking to bring in new players, although he refused to give the names of the players he is in talks with. He added that despite being in the hunt for new talent, he is still keen to develop younger talent and fringe players.

The result made it a double dose of good news for the Humber Colts.

After a long wait they have finally had planning permission granted for a storage container that will shortly be installed at their ground in Swinemoor.
