Reanna Wardill, Samantha Novis and Lucy Norton have joined forces for the Humberside Police Lifestyle project 2011.
Lifestyle is an excellent initiative which encourages children to do something for their local community in the school holidays. Their team is called the ‘Cool Camels’ and they have chosen to raise money for the Beverley Community Lift.
The girls have decided to help this charity as a neighbour of Reanna relies totally on the Beverley Community Lift services to go shopping every other week, for doctor appointments and she also goes on the day trips that are organised.
Beverley Community Lift is a community based organisation with 40 years service, offering a caring and supportive VOLUNTARY service providing transport to the communities of the BEVERLEY, MARKET WEIGHTON, POCKLINGTON and HOLME ON SPALDING MOOR.
They will help all sections of the community to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence.
They offer individual car transportation and Minibus facilities all available with wheelchair access which enables shopping and appointments to be kept. They are members of the COMMUNITY TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION and work in partnership with the EAST RIDING of YORKSHIRE COUNCIL.
The girls have already raised a large amount of money through many different projects including car washing, selling home made buns and numerous bag packs which were only possible through the generosity of local stores like Heron, Netto and Tesco and the girls would like to say how grateful they are for these stores allowing them to do the packing.
They are now working hard to collect tombola prizes and do more cooking for a market stall which will be on Saturday 13th August on Beverley Market from 12 till 4pm and your support would be very much appreciated. They have received kind donations from Coop, Beverley Community Lift and Boyes in Beverley so far.
They are passionate about this charity and are determined to raise much needed funds to help Beverley Community Lift continue doing their invaluable work helping all ages improve their quality of life for many years to come.
