Brownies & Blondies is Emma Lynn’s modern take on tea and biscuits.
Located in the soothing calm of North Bar Within, Emma’s shop fits in perfectly with the under-stated elegance of this most beautiful part of Beverley.
Emma’s passion for her work really shines through at Brownies & Blondies.
She bakes different varieties on a daily basis – hence the name – which sit alongside the other cakes that are offered on a permanent basis.
She’s also an ardent advocate of the tea room, and offers drinks and sandwiches to take away, giving Brownies & Blondies a traditional café feeling with a modern twist.
She told HU17.net:
“I’ve opened the shop basically because I love baking! I wanted a real home-made feel to the shop, and to get across a clear English vibe but with a modern edge.
“I also love tea, so I decided to create a take-away style tea room with home-made cakes and fresh sandwiches.
“Living up to the name Brownies & Blondies, I am baking different varieties of each daily along with other varied cakes.
“The sandwich counter is just keeping it simple so you can pick your own fillings and create your ideal sandwich.”
