Wave Yoga Moves To New Venue This September

September, the kids are back at school and the holiday season is over, so de-stress and get back in shape the Wave Yoga way as local instructor Jane Irving moves to a brand new time and venue to  keep up with demand.

Yoga has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and each class will have a short period of deep relaxation, the benefits of which are invaluable and participants will be able to incorporate them into many areas of their lives.

The main benefits of Yoga are; increased attentiveness and concentration, increased flexibility, improved body awareness, social interaction, it promotes strength and flexibility, improved co-ordination, improved relaxation stillness and calmness. It can also help with sleeping difficulties, asthma, migraine and difficult life changing decisions / situations. Yoga has also been proven to help those with ADHD and other learning and developmental difficulties.

Jane Irving, Wave Yoga’s instructor says “I want to get away from the established norms about yoga – that you sit in lotus position for half an hour chanting OM or that you prance about lighting candles to the sounds of whales – it does go on!!!

My classes are fun where people laugh, chat and are generally very happy and they always feel like they have done something and they love it.

All the poses can be adapted so that they aren’t too difficult so there is nothing to be scared of.”

The class is available to people of all ages and abilities.

Wave Yoga is being held at Molescroft Pavillion, Beverley on Tuesday mornings from 10am until 11. Starting from 6th September
