The Best European Destinations For Stag and Hen Parties

A stag or hen party is a very big deal, a farewell to single life that usually involves a lot of alcohol and, for some poor soul, taped to a lamppost. Stag and hen parties should be well organised and lots of fun, heaven forbid you lose momentum wandering around your destination looking for something to do. There is then much pressure on the organiser to really pull something special out of the bag. Luckily, Europe is crammed with excellent locations for stag and hen parties, whether your budget means a night in Brighton or a weekend in Paris.

Prague city breaks are a popular choice for stag parties and there is good reason for this: Prague is the city of hedonism and whether you want to consume your body weight in beer, dance all night long, or get friendly with the locals, Prague has it all. During the day you can check out the stunning cultural history of the place while your mates sleep off their hangovers, then at night it’s time again to hit the bars and clubs like a group of wild men.

Be warned: Prague may not be the ideal location for a stag looking for something a bit quieter. That said, you can certainly avoid the more scantily-clad sights, especially if you hire a guide to show you the best bars and clubs. If Prague isn’t your thing, perhaps a trip to Krakow would be better?

Krakow breaks are not the most well-known stag party holidays because the city is something of an undiscovered gem, but its popularity has soared in recent years. With affordable flights, a pint of beer costing around £1, plenty of beer gardens and sweaty clubs to pass both the days and nights, Krakow is the perfect place for a stag night you will never forget (or perhaps so, after all those pints and shots).

It’s not all about the guys, though: women need their farewell to single life, too, and there are just as many options available as there are for the guys. Spain is always a firm favourite for us Brits, and with good reason. You can work on your tan on any of the glorious golden beaches, dine on some of the world’s best food and drink at some excellent bars – Barcelona has all the ingredients required for a great hen party.

Germany may not be the first place you think of for a hen night, but Berlin could be the ideal choice. Boasting some of Europe’s best nightlife, not to mention amazing shops and stunning architecture, there’s no reason not to consider the city. In addition, Berlin is comprised of various districts each offering up something unique, which makes it incredibly easy for you to know where you want to go.

Europe is crammed with perfect destinations for your stag or hen party and with low cost airlines you can now enjoy a weekend away without breaking the bank. Be sure to look at some of the more relaxed, not to mention romantic Paris city breaks when your honeymoon comes around, your spouse might not appreciate reliving your bachelor days in Sin City!
