Beverley Treasure House To Host Family History Course

With the return of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ to television screens, many more people are starting to trace their family history. Genealogy is a fascinating and rewarding hobby, but it can be difficult to know where to start.

A new family history course is starting at the Beverley Treasure House this month. The course lasts eight weeks and is ideal for people getting started in tracing their family tree.

The course will be held on Tuesday evenings and starts on Tuesday, 20 September. The total cost is £42 including a pack of information.

This is a great opportunity to investigate ancestry and meet other new family historians.  By the end of the course everyone will leave with the start of their family tree and a pack of information to help them carry on researching.

The course will be lead by expert tutors, who will introduce different ways in which participants can find information about their ancestors.

Places are limited on all these courses and booking is essential. For more information or to book a place please, call the East Riding Archives and Local Studies Service, on (01482) 392790.
