Hodgsons FC secured their first win in the Humber Premier League by beating Chalk Lane 3 – 2 at Hull University.
The Tanners did it the hard way coming from behind turning a 2 – 1 half time deficit around to secure a much needed three points.
Denis Edgar, Danny Cartwright were on target for the Tanners with Adam Foster scoring the winner with just four minutes left to play, while keeper Nicky Moy received lots of praise from gafffer Lee Hastings.
Chalk Lane’s Michael O’connell who used to play his football with Beverley Town was taken off mid way through the second half as he failed to get one over on his former team mate Sam Overton.
Chalk Lane who beat Beverley Town FC 5 – 1 at the Norwood Recreation Ground started the game the better of the two sides though looked off the pace in the second period.
Chalk Lane and Hodgsons FC meet again next weekend in the Humber Premier League at Longcroft School, kick off 3pm.
Beverley Town FC also won today as they beat North Cave 1 – 0, the victory moves Beverley Town FC to 7th in the HUmber Premier League four points ahead of Hodgsons FC.
