AFC Tickton U16s opened there first league match away at Bridlington Rangers, and it was Bridlington Rangers that took their first three points of the season winning two nil.
The first half was a close affair with both teams struggling with the high winds, with Tickton’s goal keeper the busier of the two.
In the second half Bridlington’s pressure paid off as they finally took the lead, AFC Tickton just couldn’t keep possession of the ball giving it away far too easily so it came as no surprise that Bridlington scored their second of the game with ten minutes to go.
Only now did Tickton start to put Bridlington under a bit of pressure and came close to a goal of their own when a free kick into the box hit the post with the keeper well beaten.
Up next for AFC Tickton is a home game against Beverley Town.
