Beverley RUFC travel to West Yorkshire on Saturday to take on Morley in the National League 3(North) encounter in good spirits after their impressive win over Penrith last weekend.
Beset by early season injuries and non availabilities, the Beavers fielded a young looking side made up of a number of players making their debuts at National 3 level.
After a shaky start they settled down and although badly affected by even more injuries during the game, they turned in an outstanding performance to overcome an early 10 point defecit to run out 43-23 winners and collect maximum points
The Beavers will be hoping to build on this performance this Saturday and should fancy their chances against a Morley side which has surprisingly failed to pick up any points so far. However, Beverley RUFC will not be taking anything for granted for Morley have always proved something of a nemesis for them and are always very difficult to beat at home.
Influential back row man David Worrall, missing last Saturday, will require a late fitness test but is probably unlikely to return yet. His back row partners are both definitely ruled out, James McKay with a broken arm and Dale Hodgson with a knee problem.
On the positive side Goran Jelencic returns on the wing and Beverley RUFC will make their final selection after training on Thursday from the following squad :-
B.Johnson,J.Graham, Sam Atiola, Junior Tupai(capt), Gordan Jelencic, Phil Duboulay, C.Infield, M.Bradshaw, K.Renwick, M.Kirkwood, M.Alderson,M.Adams, R.Marson, T.Riby-French, Dave Worrall, M.Eames, M.Hatfield, R.Smith, S.Johnson, M.Shaw
Coach leaves Beaver Park at 12.15 p.m. meet 12 noon.
