Pasture Terrace Flood Alleviation Drop-In Event

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is holding a public consultation drop-in event on Monday, 26 September, from 2-8pm, to consider proposals to reduce the risk of flooding in the Pasture Terrace and Willow Grove areas of Beverley.

During 2007, properties in these areas flooded internally with further significant surface flooding in central Beverley.

The council has already carried out some works to improve the old Walker Beck inlet screen at the Pinfold off York Road and have now looked at options for holding flood water back in a controlled way by building flood defences in the area.

Residents and other interested parties are invited to discuss the proposals with council engineers at the event, which will take place at St Mary’s Church Parish Hall.
