Cording Guides Town To Third While Walton Enjoys His Honeymoon

Beverley Town FC have climbed up to 3rd in the Humber Premier League thanks to a 3 – 1 home win over Crown FC.

With manager Dave Walton away relaxing by the pool on his honeymoon it was left to Ross Cording to take charge.

The return of Steven Irwin added some extra power to Town who were missing both Nathan White and Jonny Ricardo who are both suspended.

Crown FC proved to be no match for Town who won easily with Phillip Gardner, Steven Irwin and Dean Taylor all scoring.

Daniel MacKevych however was guilty of a ‘Fernando Torres’ as he missed an open goal from less than 3 yards out!

Town are now just two points behind league leaders Sculcoates Amateurs who beat early pace setters North Ferriby United Reserves 6 – 1.

Beverley Town are at the Norwood recreation Ground again next week as they face Hall Road Rangers Reserves, if results go towns way they could end the day top of the Humber Premier League.
