Treasure House Leture With Dr Kevin Leahy

Dr Kevin Leahy will be giving an evening lecture at the Treasure House, Beverley, on Thursday, 13 October on his work excavating the major Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Cleatham, just across the Humber in North Lincolnshire.

Many adult education students from the courses that he ran at Hull University were involved in this particular ‘dig’ with him!  Dr. Leahy is a national finds adviser for the Portable Antiquities Scheme and was most recently involved with cataloguing the finds from the Staffordshire Hoard.

He is a national authority on Anglo-Saxon metalwork and an extremely entertaining speaker.

Tickets cost £6, and can be purchased in advance either by telephoning the dedicated booking line on (01482) 392706/392699 or via the Council’s on-line booking system, at www.eastriding.gov.uk/events
