Beverley RUFC face the long trip across the Pennines on Saturday, to take on Birkenhead Park in the National League Div 3(North) Fixture.
During last Saturday’s heavy defeat at the hands of Bradford & Bingley, the Beavers suffered another blow with hard working prop forward Mike Bradshaw joining the queue in the Physio’s room with a shoulder injury.
However, there is a little light at the end of the tunnel for, apart from the long term injured James Mckay (broken arm), Matt Adams (broken leg) and Goran Jelencic (fractured cheekbone), none of whom are likely to return until after Christmas at the earliest, others are making some progress towards fitness again.
David Worrall, Dale Hodgson, Sam Atiola, & Chris Infield are all a couple of weeks away whilst it is possible that Phil Duboulay could return this weekend.
Birkenhead are always very difficult to beat, particularly on their own patch but the Beavers patched up squad will not be short of spirit, as they have amply demonstrated over the past few weeks.
