Following a much improved display last Saturday against West Hartlepool where, despite losing by 13 points to 9, Beverley were by far the better team on the day and lost the game largely due to three vital and very dubious decisions going against them, the Beavers head to Sandal reinforced with more confidence than for a long while.
Richard Bussey, Francis Pickering and Craig Hancock all came through their return matches after long lay-offs and are all named in a stronger looking squad for this weekend.
Although it is good to see the squad nearly back to full strength, it is probable that some of the returning injured will be given another week or so, before they start.
Sandal are lying in mid table this season with a similar record to that of West Hartlepool and, on the evidence of that and their performance last Saturday, the Beavers will feel optimistic that they can take something from this match.
Beverley RUFC v Sandal (away) Coach leaves clubhouse 12 noon.
