The Whiskey Dogs are a brilliant East Riding based trio who play highly infectious early Americana music that audiences of all ages can’t get enough of.
Their material includes the crazy, wild repertoire of the jug bands, the catchy melodies and tight instrumentals of the string bands and beautiful, haunting old-time mountain ballads.
Pete Bolton fronts the band with his powerful, soulful vocals and instruments including claw-hammer banjo, guitar, kazoo and harmonica. He is joined on mandolin and fiddle by Brian Swinton, and on the bull-fiddle (double bass) by Janey Bolton to create a wonderful sound.
They were one of the most talked about acts at the most recent Beverley Festival where they took the various venues by storm, and were also snapped up for Bridlington’s Musicport festival gaining numerous new fans there too.
