Here, at the Continuum School, Beverley, we have been very busy with community engagement and donating gifts for the ‘Shoe Box’ appeal which is a charity specific for deprived children in Eastern Europe and West Africa.
This year, pupils and staff have donated many items for the Beverley Minster Christmas Fayre which was held on Saturday 26th November. Mr and Mrs Broadley who work closely with Beverley Minster visited our school on Friday afternoon to collect the gifts for the fayre and were delighted with all gifts donated.
Continuum School, Beverley filled approximately 20 boxes for the ‘Shoe Box’ appeal to ensure more gifts boxes were sent this year than previous years. Last year, the charity received more than 4,000 boxes from the East Yorkshire region alone and hope to increase these figures annually.
