Bridlington kicked off the muddy fixture, held at the Pumas’ Longcroft School home ground.
The Pumas dominated the first half with excellent pressure and runs through the Bridlington defence by William W and Jack B. Zak M was unlucky when the post denied his goal and later shot just wide of the post.
Bridlington eventually managed to break through the Pumas defence to strike the post. Jo A and Zac V were able to feed the ball quickly back up the field to resume the Pumas attack. Jake I held the mid-field well and set up the Pumas for further chances.
Bridlington managed 2 quick goals just before the half time whistle, the second an unlucky rebound from an excellent Cameron H-S save.
The Bridlington started the second half with 2 further goals. It was only a matter of time before Alex W was rewarded for one of his many shots on the Bridlington goal to take the score to 4-1.
The Rhino’s started to dominate the mid-field towards the end and pressurised the Pumas goal line again. Despite clearances from the line and some further excellent saves from Cameron H-S, the Rhinos created two further goals before the final whistle to end the very muddy fixture with a 1-6 win.
The man of the match award was presented to Jack B for his relentless tackling in mid field, and running up the field to set up several chances for the Pumas.
