Beverley Athletic Club has announced that entries are now open for the Hall Construction Beverley 10k, East Yorkshire’s premier 10k road race, which takes place on Sunday 13 May this year.
Hall Construction will be sponsoring the race for the fourth consecutive year and as usual Martin Hall, Chairman and Managing Director, will be taking part in the race. 2012 is a special year for Hall Construction as the company is celebrating 125 years in business.
Entry for both the 10k and the fun run is online;
Further information about the races is available from www.beverleyac.com
The entry limit for the 10k is 1200 and last year this number was reached by 24 February. There is a limit of 300 for the fun run. Runners are reminded that there will be no entries on the day for either race and that they should enter early to make sure of a place.
The extensive prize list for the 10k includes cash prizes of £200, generously provided by Kingston Communications, to be awarded to the first male and the first female to cross the finishing line. An additional £200 will be awarded if a new course record is set. Other prizes include vouchers from Boyes and Simply Running.
The 10k also incorporates the Yorkshire Veterans 10k Championships and Yorkshire residents running in the veteran categories will be eligible for additional prizes.
Chip timing by Sports Timing Solutions will ensure accurate times are recorded and all finishers will receive a quality technical t-shirt supplied by Start Fitness.
Less experienced runners entering the race can benefit from a training plan which can be downloaded from Beverley AC Web site.
