Short Acts Wanted For Minster’s Got Talent

Beverley Minster will once again host its very popular annual fundraising event – Minster’s Got Talent.

The Youth Team are looking for acts, five or six minutes in length, to perform to a paying audience, who will vote on each act, and performers will face a panel of judges.

Last year’s successful event raised £500 for the youth ministry at Beverley Minster, and helped support the work the Minster does with young people in Beverley.

This year the Minster has launched the Minster Youth Appeal, and is seeking £23.000 to secure future work with young people, and we hope this event will be well supported by local people.

Every 4-8 the Minster hosts a Youth Café event attracting 200-300 young people, and this year, we are hoping some talented youngsters will perform at Minster’s Got Talent.

We’re looking for short acts, of various sorts, beginners and professionals, who will provide a night of entertainment for our audience.

This year we’re hoping the event will beat the previous two years, and be an entertaining and hilarious night for all ages. The evening will also host Children of the Mist Highgate Pipe and Drum band who will perform for us during the interval and at the end of the evening. Refreshments will also be available during the interval.

Tickets are £5.00 and are available from Beverley Minster Parish Centre 01482 868540 or on the door. For more information, or if you’d like to perform, please contact the Youth Minister, Lee Kirkby youth@beverleyminster.org.uk.
