This is the second year that Beverley Art Gallery has run a ‘People’s Choice’ competition as part of the annual Open Art Exhibition and it has had a fantastic response from the public with 200 votes cast.
The winner was Tracy Savage who received 30 votes for her quirky and humorous painting, Norwood, Beverley.
The £50 cash prize was kindly donated by the Friends of Beverley Art Gallery.
The exhibition runs until Saturday and it is advised that anyone interested in viewing the artwork should do so quickly, as well as all of the other wonderful paintings, drawings, sculptures and crafts on display.
Beverley Art Gallery is situated in the Treasure House building on Champney Road, where there is a Café and disabled access. For visitor information call (01482) 392780. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-8pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
