Saturday Market: Fail to Stop RTC Witness Urged To Come Forward

A witness who kindly left a note on a car after it was damaged is urged to come forward.

As a red coloured Citroen Picasso car was parked directly outside the Natwest bank in Saturday Market, Beverley on the evening of Thursday 19 January 2012, it is alleged another vehicle collided with it before promptly driving away from the scene, leaving no details.

It is believed at about 1930hrs on Thursday 19 January a blue coloured Vauxhall Meriva car allegedly drove into the Citroen Picasso’s driver’s side front corner and bumper, before quickly leaving the scene.

A witness who was also in the Saturday Market at the time, kindly jotted down the offending vehicles details and placed them on the windscreen of the victim’s car.

Police investigating the fail to stop collision need the author of this letter to come forward, to help with their enquiries.

Any other independent witnesses who may have been in Saturday Market on that Thursday evening, who saw anything suspicious or witnessed the collision is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101, quoting log number 649 of 19/01/2012.
