Without a game since 28 January, Beverley RUFC resume their National League Division3 (North) campaign with a visit to fellow strugglers Altrincham Kersal on Saturday.
Like the Beavers, Altrincham were beset with injuries earlier in the season, and it remains to be seen which club, if either, can recover their momentum in time to escape relegation.
For their part Beverley have turned in some good performances of late overturning three of the top four teams and the camp is quietly confident about their chances.
Head Coach Anthony Posa said today,
“Every game from now on is a must win game and, despite losing a complete back row through injury for a large part of the season, we have managed to plug the gaps and, although players of the calibre of Dave Worrall, James McKay and Tony Riby-French are virtually impossible to replace, those who have stepped in have done us proud. Time will tell, but we will certainly not fail through lack of effort”.
Beverley will be without Tom Moody, Mike Bradshaw, Tom Bagnall and Ben Johnson, all of whom are on representative duty with Yorkshire, on Saturday.
Beverley RUFC v Altrincham Kersal (away) Kick-off 2.15 p.m. Meet at clubhouse 10 a.m.
