Beverley Company Diversifies And Invests In Consumer Website Following Trading Boom

A Beverley business has seen significant growth on its turnover following the launch of its consumer focused online division just 12 months ago.

Eurofit Direct the online consumer arm of trade focused Euro-Fit Systems Ltd was set up last November with the aim of selling fittings and components for kitchen and office furniture directly to the customer.

Since it’s date of incorporation, the online business has already turned over revenue of £40,500 with little initial investment.

The significant growth has led to Euro-Fit Systems Ltd committing an investment of over £20,000 into the consumer arm of the business in 2012 with a new site and increase in dedicated product ranges only for Eurofit Direct customers.

The investment will also see Eurofit Direct double its marketing spend and effort online in the next year.

The site has skyrocketed from just 10 orders in November last year to over 200 orders a month a year on. With 6,000 visitors to the site each month, Eurofit Direct has gained competitive advantage over larger stores and online shops through the bulk buying power enabled by holding company, Euro-Fit Systems Ltd.

Media & Marketing Manager of Eurofit Direct, Gareth Jones says that the investment in 2012 will increase the offering to consumers and really tap in to the heritage and expertise of the Eurofit business.

“The newly launched website is all about offering added value to customers, those who are looking for fixtures and fittings for their office and kitchen will be directed to not only to our increased product ranges, but helpful guides and advice too. We’ve seen a significant increase in customers who want to buy all their fixtures and fittings from the one supplier, hence the commitment to investment in new products.”

“Specifically, customers are often looking for niche products such as the ‘cupboard stay range’ of which we’ve sold over 1,000 in the last year. We’re lucky to have fantastic relationships with both local and national manufacturers so ultimately we’ll be increasing what we stock from them whilst keeping the cost down for consumers.”

The investment sees Eurofit Direct working towards a target of £150,000 in sales through the website in 2012 – this figure is based on getting 1,000 sales per month through the consumer arm of the business.

For the kitchen market, Eurofit Direct already specialise in drawer runners, cupboard stays and cupboard hinges and for the office market, the company stocks table legs, table bases and cupboard locks. The investment will cover an extended range of options for the current products but also bring in extras such as a range of door handles for kitchen and office.
