Beverley Town’s captain Jonny Ricardo still thinks Hodgsons FC have enough to stay in the Humber Premier League but has warned the Tanners not to expect any favours at the weekend and predicts his side will win the encounter 3 – 1.
Ricardo told HU17.net;
“Its a big game for them they need points fast, its been good having them in the league its about time we had two teams from Beverley in the Humber Premier League and I still think they’ll stay up, but we wont be doing them any favours on Saturday, 3 points and 3-1 for me.”
This season has seen players switch sides, Danny Cattle and Sam Overton have both swapped the blue of Town for the black and amber of the Tanners while Ben Thompson has done the reverse.
On the subject of transfers between the teams Ricardo said;
“I would like to thank them for letting us have young Tommo (Ben Thompson) he hass been a great signing hes got a great attitude.”
The matches between two have always been a tense affairs, with so much local pride at stake this match could well turn heated though Ricardo is hopeful that is not the case, he said;
“I hope the games played in good spirit again and hope the famous Beverley Town ground and loyal crazy supporters (Nathan’s dad) don’t go mental!”
